These need to be made of metal, or at least have a metal insert that mates with the spline on the opener. I have replaced several already due to the plastic stripping out around the spline, or splitting.

The plastic vent caps degrade over time and fall apart. This cap is well made and of material that should last for the life of the trailer. The price was very competitive as well.
