This product has some quality issues. I replaced it from the third time since it keeps on breaking. The original one lasted about 8 years with everyday use. The replacement one gave out after about 3 month.
RVPlus requested I contacted the manufacturer directly for warranty and or replacement policy, but after inquiring and reaching out 4 times I gave up since manufacturer did not give a rip about my inquiry (no response or solution offered).
Because of that RVPlus sent me FREE replacement units (YES, free replacements!!.....they covered the cost of the replacement units....left and right crank system) and I was very appreciative of that.
However, the replacement ones (2nd set) broke again in a few months.
Since there seem to be only one brand name making these devices I ordered them again. Now I swap the new ones with existing ones originally installed by manufacturer on bedroom windows since I rarely use those. The original ones I now installed on the living room since these are the ones that keep on breaking and get the heavy use.
Very happy with RVPlus customer service and responsiveness but very disappointed with manufacturer's warranty and response.
Will I use RVPlus again?? Definitely YES!
